Scenario

Normal day

Yesterday, Emil got up and got ready, then rode his bike to school. He had two morning classes, one right after the other. After class he rode his bike home and had lunch. Then, he caught a ride to the supermarket with his roommate and bought his groceries. When they got back, Emil took the bus down to the library to study. He stayed at the library until about 5:30 pm, then caught the bus back to his apartment. He made dinner and watched some TV. At about a quarter to 8:00 pm, he headed out on his bike to go to an MIROL meeting. After the meeting, he went home and played a game of Catan with his roomates, checked his email, and then headed to bed.

Scenario with our product

Yesterday, Emil got up and got ready, then rode his bike to school. He had two morning classes, one right after the other. After class he rode his bike home and had lunch. Then, he caught a ride to the supermarket with his roommate and bought his groceries. When they got back, Emil checked his email and found an invitation togo out with some friends (No exams this week!). He hadn't been to the bar before, so he looked up the address in google maps. When he did, his Transitator popped up; he checked the distance (3.2 mi), carbon emissions, and a route to take on his bike versus how long it would take to ride the bus and when he could catch a bus home. Emil likes knowing the carbon emissions. He saves the numbers every time he goes on a trip so he can keep a tally of his personal contribution to the world's environment. He figured he could catch a ride back, so he wrote down the time and some quick directions to get to the bar from the bus stop. He's pretty sure he recognizes the street names. Emil likes that he is getting more and more familiar with Arbor Falls; since he started using the Transinator, he is much more likely to get to know short cuts rather than just stay on the main roads. He followed his plan and arrived at about ten to join some friends, mostly from MIROL. After a few drinks, he caught a ride home with a friend and got in about a half an hour of studying before bed.
